It's pretty good, and I generally don't like anime

Re: Full Metal Alchemist
FMA's storyline is way deeper than a lot of anime, but its fighting scenes were still great.

Re: Full Metal Alchemist
the fighting was my favorite of most. it was nicely paced, no huge monolauges about power level, and seemed just real.

Re: Full Metal Alchemist
Good animation too, had a little bit more "random jap humor" than I like, but its story was enough to make up for it

Re: Full Metal Alchemist
i thought the humor was well placed in some areas and that was really funny. lightened up the overall dark tone of the story.

Re: Full Metal Alchemist
I don't mind levity lines, in fact I enjoy them. I mean the outbursts and animation change, like when their heads get giant or their eyes turn into hearts, etc. etc. Bit over the top for my taste

Re: Full Metal Alchemist
But, unlike Trigun or Dragonball or One Piece FMA had interesting enough characters and story to not make me stop after 1-5 episodes

Re: Full Metal Alchemist
I mostly just watch american animated comedies (South Park, Simpsons, Family Guy, etc.) and a few of the big TV hits like Game of Thrones or Boardwalk Empire. Never got too much into anime, but to their credit a lot of anime has cool fight scenes, but those by themselves can't keep me in for the long haul of 10+ episodes.

Well yeah, FMA is way more story-orientated than it is action-based.Mister Teal wrote:I mostly just watch american animated comedies (South Park, Simpsons, Family Guy, etc.) and a few of the big TV hits like Game of Thrones or Boardwalk Empire.
