Re: Official Pokemon Thread
Lol at the name. Pretty clever.
Though I gotta be honest, I never really liked the Pokémon in gens 4-5 and it's looking to continue that way with gen 6 from what they've shown. They just.....don't look like Pokémon to me anymore.
Half of gen 3 are pretty good though.

Re: Official Pokemon Thread
I play it because I loved the series, and a lot of the pokemon aren't that bad, Black and White and Black and White two had an excuse, it was based on American instead of Japan, so the Pokemon look weird for Pokemon because Americans are weird to the Japanese.

Wanna know what's messed up? According to Machamp's Pokedex info, he can throw 1,000 mountain level punches every 2 seconds.

dafuq?
-
also just got Tirtouga, not only does he start at lvl 25 he evolves at level 37. So I don't have to wait long to get a badass Water Rock type ancient Tortise Pokemon reminiscent of Blastoise.

Re: Official Pokemon Thread
Nice man, good luck.
And yeah, Pokémon are 10 times more fucked up when you take their Pokedex entries into account. They can do shit that they aren't allowed to do in the gameplay battles.
Gengar can possess people, possess people's shadows, place curses, steal souls, lower the temperature in an area, and lower people's body temperature. The best part? Gengar enjoys using all these powers to play pranks on people. Gengar (as well as it's pre-evolved forms) loves causing mischief and playing pranks. One of Gengar's favorite pranks is finding somebody out alone at night, going into their shadow, and then making it rise up in front of them and dashing right through them with it. Gengar is pretty much one of the only Pokémon that's canically a troll lol.
Alakazam has an IQ of 5,000 and is smarter then the best supercomputers. It's brain is so massive that he's actually using his physic powers to hold it's own head up. It remembers every single second of it's entire life since birth with perfect clarity. It's spoons aren't even real, their actually just manifestations of it's physic energy that literally created those spoons.

Re: Official Pokemon Thread
I love how the Pokedex talks up some of the Pokemon as horrifying weapons of mass destruction, yet you never vaporize another pokemon.

Re: Official Pokemon Thread
Speaking of Gyradose, it's Pokedex entries state that it can destroy entire cities in a rage.
And Tyranitar can reshape entire landscapes in a rage.

Re: Official Pokemon Thread
Makes me wonder what Mario's Pokémon would be if he had a team.
There'd definitely be a fire type in there lol.
